Your journey is led by Captain Andy, a highly experienced and professional sailor who has navigated over 150,000 miles across the Western Hemisphere. With his expertise, you’ll be in safe hands as you explore the iconic waters around New York City.
Included Services
We provide a professional U.S. Coast Guard licensed captain, ensuring your safety and enjoyment throughout the cruise. As well as all docking and boarding fees at Chelsea Piers, and fuel for your excursion.
Boat Features
The Hinckley offers a spacious outdoor deck lounge with seating for six, ideal for dining or simply taking in the views. A sun pad with towels is available for those looking to sunbathe under the open sky. The boat is equipped with a surround sound music system with Bluetooth connection, allowing you to set the perfect mood. A kitchenette and lavatory are also on board to enhance your comfort. Additionally, ice and bottled water are included for your convenience,
Catering Options
Elevate your sailing experience with our curated catering menu, which includes options like a fruit cocktail, hummus and crudité platter, cheese board, shrimp cocktail platter, deluxe charcuterie board, and a dessert platter featuring cookies and brownies. To make your event even more special, we offer additional items such as a decorative package that includes banners, flowers, candles, cushions, and an LED birthday sign, as well as the option to add a dozen roses.
Personalized Itineraries
Each excursion is tailored to your preferences, with a minimum of 2 hours. Suggested itineraries include:
- 2 Hours: Cruise from Chelsea Piers through NY Harbor, taking in sights like the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, Governors Island, and the Financial District, with views extending to Staten Island and the Verrazano Bridge.
- 3 Hours: In addition to the NY Harbor highlights, enjoy a tour up the East River to the Brooklyn Bridge, Wall Street, and South Street Seaport.
- 4-8 Hours: Spend more time sailing to experience the Palisades’ cliffs under sail or venture out to the Verrazano Narrows, possibly spotting dolphins and humpback whales along the way.

Crew
Captain Andy fell in love with the water and gained a deep respect for nature while fishing with his beloved grandpa, David, in Louisiana. He has navigated the entire Western Hemisphere, becoming a seasoned professional sailor. He’s accumulated over 150,000 miles professionally, moving various boats up to 95 feet in size from Europe’s North Sea down to the Bay of Biscay and from North America to South America. In 2023 Captain Andy bought his dream boat; a hand-crafted Hinckley Bermuda 40, which he affectionately named after his mother. He refurbished it and has now brought this rare gem to sail the greatest city in the world, New York.
His achievements include :
A Certified US Coast Guard Master – highest official captain certification to sail a 100-ton vessel for paying customers.
Three transatlantic unassisted sails
Water Survival Instructor – including helicopter rescue training
Certified Dive Instructor – over 1,000 dives logged
