Captained Charter on 12m ITACA

I am ITACA captain.

The ´Ria de SADA´and the surrounding fishing villages and beaches are beautiful from the land, but nothing compares to the fresh perspective seen from aboard a boat.

Get up close to them under sail, anchor in one of the multiple hidden spots and enjoy a meal aboard after a well deserved swim; relax on the teak deck prior to sail back home followed by the prevailing northeasterly winds.

I will accompany you for the day aboard ITACA, my 12m sailing boat that can accommodate up to six guests comfortably.

She is very easy to sail even singlehanded and offer all the specifics of a cruising boat of this type.

I will meet you at the gates of SADAMAR and invite you to access our private car park close to the boat for your convenience.

A typical day on ´SADA bay´starts mid morning (11:00 a.m.) from ITACA berth in Marina Sada; a few minutes later we will be already under sail at full pace surrounded by nature ready for adventure.

Families with kids are most welcome, just let me know the age to get extra safety gear if required; we will design the sailing day around them so they fully enjoy the experience without any hassle. I enjoy getting them promoted from novices to small sailors as the day goes by and they perform easy tasks I ask them to do as we go.

Fishing villages like Ares, Lorbé or Redes are within one and a half hours under sail; other spots to anchor are much closer if we go for a very very relaxed day.

For the most adventuresome we can sail further out in the sea to feel ´a costa da morte´at its full, it is an unforgettable experience. If we lunch on the go we might even enter Ferrol and enjoy one of the most stunning natural canals surrounded by abandoned old military fortifications and be back still on time.

The day will end back at the dock in SADAMAR at 19:00 aprox.

When we speak about our day aboard we can discuss lunch arrangements, sailing preferences and other details you may require.

I invite crew to ask me about staying aboard ITACA before or after your sailing day.

For me, there is nothing like an overnight aboard.
