I am a career sailor and worked for Sunsail for many years as a sailing instructor. I’ve lived on privately owned yachts working in the Caribbean for 6 years- I know my boats. I booked this boat expecting to sail- “Rodrigo” the agent knew that the whole party were sailors with experience.
The boat is incapable of sailing and when I complained to Sailo after returning from my holiday they did nothing about it as it was beyond 24 hours after the booking. I wrote to the agent/owner Rodrigo and complained that I’d been mislead and the boat cannot sail and asked for a refund. I sent photos evidencing good sailing conditions but the boat cannot sail and he’s ignored me since and not refunded a single penny!

This man is a crook- do not deal with him and don’t waste your money like we did - over €1300 for a lost day

However the booking process was terrible it took forever for the guy to reply though Sailo and none of the booking was fun.

Alex and Eduard were courteous and capable hosts, tailoring a Manhattan tour to fit the likings of our party of five. I certainly won’t forget the priceless views of the City and sights, like the Statue of Liberty. Coordination with Alex was extremely easy by both email and phone.

As for the boat, MEA is a beautiful little red tug, with both intimate cabin and deck space with a little table. Despite her size, she kicks it up to 10 knots to race the Wall Street ferries. MEA makes for a unique experience unlike any other conventional powered boat on this site.

Our two captains were amazing. They were professional, but also a wonderful addition to our group. The boat is exactly as shown, absolutely beautiful!! Highly recommend booking an afternoon out on the water

We took Erik, who is a naval officer, and 4 of his NY friends, out from Brooklyn to the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, and 9/11 Memorial.

Erik and friends were ideal passengers- they did not mind the rainy day, and obviously enjoyed each other’s company. They behaved in a safe way and always followed crew instructions- for example, they did not once complain about wearing life jackets while outside.

Would love to work with them again.
